Oh Parker Madeleine Lamy, I love you so much little one. I am feeling very blessed today on this Valentine's Day of 2011. I just dropped you off at preschool with your homemade "valentimes" in hand but for the very first time you started crying and did not want to get out of the car. You crawled up front and got all tangled up in me and the steering wheel with all of the WDS staff looking on. Mrs. Dantzler came out and was finally able to get you in her arms - Donna S. asked if I was okay & said they'd call if they needed to - they thought you might not be feeling well. I told them I had no idea what was going on, watched you for a moment and went ahead and drove off feeling perplexed and a little bit heartbroken for you. By the time I got home I realized that it was because we had stopped right in front of the doors with pretty much all of the WDS/car pool staff standing there at once - we were the last to show up today. You can be intimidated by large groups of people (and sometimes just a few) making a fuss over you all at once and although there was no fuss, 8 or 9 people standing there was enough. It is an incredible feeling to realize that I KNOW you. That I know you best because I'm your mommy. God has given us such a treasure in you Parker and I love you more than I can say.
